The original owner is alive and well so the story is 100% accurate.
All comics were purchased on the newsstand from 1937 to 1943. Yhe owner then went to serve ni wwii. While he was gone, relatives read the books and treated some of them roughly. When he returned form the war, he got the books back.
Unfortunately, some were missing and some were damaged and many lost their covers. We will be offering both complete books and books that have no covers which we haev created reproduction covers for. There aer some rare issues and major keys in the collection. Most of the books have off-white to white pages.
More fun comics #52 and detective comics #35 are just 2 of the many complete unrestored original owner classics that will be available for teh 1st time. Who will the second owner be? It is complete with centerfold intact. The beauitful reproduction cover adds to overall appeal. Whether or not you find a original cover, you will enjoy this rare classic, bought on the newsstand and kept for almost 70 years.
